The principled stand, IMO, would be to tell the country's that if THEY want to keep their citizens ignorant of the truth, then THEY need to do it themselves.

Like what the Canadian gov. did. Tell sites they have to pay a fee to show stuff to Canadians.. so FB and others limit content to CDN's, and the government gets to exclaim that the tech giants are to blame!! Wouldn't work on retarded hamsters, alas, Canadians were unable to see through it..
