Since there's so much depressing stuff going on right now I thought it might be fun for everyone to sperg about audio for awhile. I'm very much in the market for upgrading my audio at some point, I don't know if it would be worth doing a speaker setup of some kind.
You might find this funny but I'm having to remember that yes I am living on my own now and I can do stupid shit like this. My only issue of course is that I often tend to game and relax at night, so it would probably pay off more to get some kind of really good quality wireless headphones.
I have a decent pair now, but they're cheapos and they often break because they're made from the crappiest plastic ever. At some point I want to get myself something nice and long lasting to have that premium sound experience. I wouldn't mind doing some gaming and such or testing my own audio on a speaker system too.
I'm veering towards maybe Logitech and Sennheiser brands generally.
Thanks, as long as they're not some weird subsidiary of a much larger corp that organised that that's fine, looks like I can maybe pick Corsair generally then. I do see good things about their peripherals online obviously but quite a bit of that is going to be youtuber shilling.
I used to have a VOID RGB Elite, but recently switched to an HS80. The mic quality is noticeably better on the latter, but they're both solid. I don't think the HS80 is worth the price increase from the VOID Elite if audio quality is your primary concern.
Bearing in mind I'm a 90's kid so I'm nowhere near as fussy as some people seem to be about stuff as long as it runs for a long time and isn't shit lol. I'm absolutely baffled when I see people trying to compare mic quality when all they're doing is shitting on each other in a video game and aren't doing foley for example.
Had a pair for Vengeance 2100 headphones that must have lasted me 7+ years of daily use at this point.
Had to do a pair of structural repairs on the rotating joints when started to crack when the plastic got brittle with age. Literally just a little black tape pulled taut to keep them snug. But the fact that they still sound as good as when I got them and I can still get 4+ hours battery life out of them is insane longevity for a midrange headset that still sounds pretty good.
