I think its a debate as old as philosophy if the one who brings evil to power is worse than the evil themselves. The classic "politician versus his executioner" discussion. There is a lot to say about both sides of that debate which is worse to a point where its more perspective than solvable.
Which is why in the case of "woman versus the golem of her own making" we cannot all agree, and the only tipping of the scale is because we are still instincted to defend women even when they deserve it.
