Does it change anything if a regular like me tells you he's right and that you should want invaders dead/gone rather than feeling sorry for them that they've been enslaved after invading your country?
The point is that they are invaders and the moral and pragmatically correct response to invaders is overwhelming and explicitly violent hostility.
You make them go away by killing them(invaders) in large enough numbers that it isn't in their interests to arrive. This is a time tested method throughout history. When the Ottomans started rolling into Wallachia, Vlad Tepes didn't try to understand the reasons they were coming, he just started mounting them on spikes until they stopped showing up.
