At the risk of once again being controversial...I've said it before, I'll say it again. I want peace, communication, and cooperation among all people.

As an American, I want my own government to put my own people first. America first. No question. But I also want the best for everyone, including our rivals. I want the best for the Chinese, for the Russians, for the North Koreans, for the Iranians. They don't have to be our enemies or rivals, and a good chunk of why they are is because the USA has been behaving rather badly on the world stage.

I'm all in favor of normalizing relations with all these countries. The whole idea of nationalism is shrinking things back to each country's own borders. I want the United States to be for us, the Americans. I want Iran to be for Iranians. Russia for Russians. And so on.

As long as the US government actually puts Americans first, I have absolutely no fucking objections whatsoever for being friendlier with Iran, Russia, China, etc. That's a win.
