Men's sports are an actual meritocracy in most cases though, because actual money is on the line. When you have a sport being subsidized by the men's version, then you can insert activism. DEI takes root when there are no financial incentives to the contrary, or in other words when DEI subsidies outweigh the negative financial impact of DEI.
My comment was more on that Meritocracy is being FORCED into women's sports because men outperform women in practically everything physical.
If they wanted their own space to play then they shouldn't have opened the door with trans support messing with social gender norms. Men just experienced it naturally as turns out when you raise through environment a race to be good physically to survive, they can run, jump and be stronger than everyone else, so you just have to compete smarter.
