he says openly that he used his own CV. the women who have that CV are likely 1:100 vs the men, and they aren't applying to these random companies... they're going to FAANG for the biggest, most ridiculous benefits from the companies who have the most resources to waste bending over backwards to meet superfluous requirements like diversity quotas.
the average woman applying to these random companies doesn't have even half this resume. this is why they're bending over backwards to get her... they think they can still get someone actually qualified, while hitting the quota checkbox.
if he sent "the average" female resume, it's not even half this. he wouldn't get as many responses as this resume, but would probably still get more than the male with this resume. if a woman applied with her real resume, because of this mechanic, she'd come in and is in the bottom 10-20% vs all the males in her hiring cohort. the farther down you get in tier of company, the worse and worse candidates get to fit the quotas, because the ones who are more qualified already got vacuumed up by quotas at better companies.
this is the vacuum principle as described by affirmative action researchers at stanford/UCLA. they proved affirmative action does not work at all by any testable metric, other than the input quotas. outputs are all failures exactly for this reason.
