I've been hearing complaints from a lot of my British friends that UK normies are EXTREMELY naive when it comes to politics especially US politics which they view as simple.
They can't understand why Blacks in America would love Trump and hate Kamala because they see it as a race thing when it's actually more class which is ironic given the UK USED to fully understand class divides.

The BBC correctly reported it as "racist tweets". When it was morning in New York 8 hrs later and the first American media mention of Sarah came out they removed the word "racist". Within minutes BBC did the same.
Regarding class, it's still very much alive and well even in this era, it's only the middle and upper classes who don't understand this because they don't even pay any attention to the working classes or anybody else 'beneath' them. It's an almost cartoonish attitude towards other people and every stereotype of a nobility, I hate it.
