Sigh, The Giving Tree turned Marxist for those who don't recognize the art. About time we put that Tolkien bit about "Evil cannot create..." in the sidebar.
The Giving Tree
Its about a boy who can talk to a tree, wealthy and rich and bountiful. And at first the boy just likes to play on the tree
--- then he starts asking the tree for crap
---asks for an apple to make money
--- asks for branches to make a house
--- asks for the trunk to make a boat
---asks for a stump to sit on
and this kid never says thank you, not even once.
----but the tree was happy in the end
is this story supposed to be an allegory for the relationship between Israel and America.? Or the "you will own nothing and be happy" crap?
it is a metaphor for parenthood
