As I do not have a physical copy, this appears to be a digital version of the article which was released on July 11th.
Sorry Hanlon, but I am very sure this is massive helpings of both, with an oversized portion of virtue signaling to fill it out.
I don't remember where I heard it but it goes something like this:
Consistency is not a marker of stupidity. Stupid is random. If someone is consistently acting against your interests, they are malicious.
I doubt it's original to him, but I think one of McCarthy's close allies said that to him when they were trying to figure out how to deal with infiltration in the State Department and FBI.
I've heard of it too, and I believe the exchange went something like this:
"Surely it's just random coincidence?"
"If it actually were random, these incidents would occasionally help us."
