This is 100% sabotage. When's the last time they trotted Joe out to do a press conference?
For whatever reason, he's outlived his usefulness, and the very machine that propped him up is now trying to destroy him. Seriously, he's massively demented, but they still could have kept people in the dark if they hadn't intentionally put him in the spotlight over and over and over, and then reported on his gaffes so brutally.
Putting that old man up there on at the podium is a war crime.
I've had a lot of fun wargaming what I would do in the shoes of the DNC or Biden campaign, but I think that's over: Biden will be dumped. On to wargaming the Trump campaign. If they swap Biden, everyone to the right of Bernie needs to hammer the new candidate for not 25thing Biden: "if he can't run and can't remember names, why is he still president and why aren't you calling for his resignation?"
It may simply be too late in the election cycle to replace Biden. They could pull some nonsense at the convention, but most of the delegates who will be there will have already been selected on the basis of votes for Biden specifically. Any candidate who replaces him will have a very fractious Dem party to campaign with as a result.
On top of that, the question remains who can possibly replace him and actually do better electorally. If they push him out before the convention, it would be difficult to sidestep Kamala, who is even more deranged than Biden is. Whitmer is so unpopular that she might actually lose her home state. Newsom might solidify the female vote, but he's such a wet blanket that Trump would walk all over him rhetorically, and the mess he's made of California gives him a terrible record to run on, which the other side can exploit.
My brother and I have been speculating about Michelle "Big Mike" Obama potentially joining the race last minute, along with a highly unlikely chance of Killary Clinton joining and getting beat for the 3rd time.
For context, after mixing up Zelensky and Putin, POTUS confuses Kamala and Donald.
Edit: changed wrong link

Who else is there?
