Yeah, the commie lunatics weren't all that fond of Bill Clinton either because the Republicans in Congress forced him to govern in a somewhat sane way. I'm not old enough to have been politically aware at the time, but I've told by older people that the media liked to undermine Clinton via White House leaks in ways they never would have done with Bathhouse Barry. The media has been at this for a long time, and they will go after Democrats they view as an obstacle to the commie agenda even if they won't full out declare war like they will when a Republican is in office.
