Because of course they do. Meanwhile the doujinshi subculture has kept alive and even caused the resurgence in popularity of numerous titles that would have faded to obscurity. But the Western faggots now running the industry have zero knowledge of that and are trying to cram Disney style IP management into the anime world. I'd say this is a fucking stupid decision if I didn't know that it's not ignorance, it's malice. The West hates anime and wants to kill or subvert it. It's one of the last realms of fiction left with mostly untainted stories and characters. The straight protagonist doing the right thing, growing stronger, beating the villain through diligence, hard work, and adherence to principles, and becoming the hero and getting the girl in the end. Western faggots have wanted to erase that whole concept for years and they know Western men who haven't bought their lies have flocked to anime and manga because of it. This cannot be allowed.
