Self admitted feminist, Neil Gaiman...accused of sexual assault
I'm surprised it took this long!
And, no, I'm not even saying he did it. But, if you hang around with scummy feminists, of course you'll get accused of assault sooner or later.
Every time something like this happens, I always say innocent until proven guilty, and that still holds true...but I'm also now finding it hard to be sympathetic. I do still feel some sympathy (I know, I know, my bad guys), as false allegations are pretty high up there on the 'terrible things to happen to you' list...but it's also just so expected, another part of me is going 'duh, of course.'
I've only glanced at it so far, but this looks fake as fuck. Or at least exaggerated as fuck. This looks like one of the most obvious smear pieces ever seen, in fact. This could be used as the definitive example of 'character assassination.' I can even believe he did some not so great stuff, but it seems like they're blowing any actual events way out of proportion to 'get him,' for whatever reason.
The real sign this is bullshit, or at the very least maliciously motivated targeting, is that a bunch of women seem to have all come out at the same time, for a podcast. This is another case of journalists deciding the story beforehand, I'd say. They were calling up anyone who knew Gaiman, and prompting them to say bad stuff, and then ran with that.
