I actually read the article and she’s kind of the good guy here. It’s clearly been composed or edited to sound like it’s about “trumpism”, but the reality of the story is her dad seems to have become a terminally online weirdo. Like it ends with her begging him not to talk about Facebook politics on his deathbed.
It’s sad because it could be a compelling story overall if they dropped the specific political slant they obviously wanted.
It is published verbatim as her own words from her own substack, including the parts where she didn't bother to visit her terminally ill father because she couldn't bear to hear him praise trump anymore. In no way does she look like a good guy.
She ran for and won office as a Dem representative, this article trying to humiliate her own dead father and talking about him begging on his deathbed was just a means to an end.
Yeah that's a bad habit these days. Political opportunists have fully normalized weaponizing charitable presumptions as a get out of jail free card for taking advantage of people.
