Curious to see the opinions here about this Project 2025 I keep seeing pop up. It seems to make Reddit cry out like it’s Ragnarok coming. And apparently John Oliver did a piece on it (I haven’t watched) and that drew a lot of criticism from that crowd… so that makes me inclined to think it’s probably a good thing, but I’ve only just started to look into the details. Wanted to solicit viewpoints from here in case anyone has done a deep dive on this already. Would anything in it sway you away from voting for Trump?

First off, who gives a toss what John Oliver thinks? He should be deported.
Secondly, if they can actually do it and would make genuine effort towards it, good. Reining in the activist judiciary and gutting the federal bureaucracy would be a good thing.
But they probably won't. "Conservatives" observably don't want to win. In my whole lifetime I've only seen them shamble from one cucking opportunity to the next with little variation.
So as far as why I'm voting, the answer is simple. I'm not voting Trump because I have any hope that the system can be reformed peacefully, certainly not for the promise of whatever policy initiative they spout. I don't think it can be reformed, I think we'll have a civil war in my lifetime.
I'm voting Trump because that seems like the shortest path to liberal tears. I hate these people. Hate isn't even a strong enough word, nor is loathe. I want them to suffer. It makes me happy to see them in pain.
if there is a civil war, it would be a civil guerrilla war. thanks to the internet, the lines are not drawn geographically. instead, we have tons of low density land versus a bunch of high-density tumors.
in my opinion, a civil war would just make everything worse for everyone. your own neighbors would not trust you, and you would not be able to trust your own neighbors. Irish car bombs would be a regular occurrence. shipments of basic supplies like food and water would constantly be ambushed. if you aren't shot , you would likely die of starvation or thirst. as the country descends into chaos, warlords sponsored by foreign meddlers would reign supreme.
I'm not saying we can vote our way out of our situation, but I know civil war would only make things worse.
Slight correction on two points: there will be general geographic lines. Pretty much everything in the former Confederacy (minus south Florida, northern Virginia, and maybe parts of Kentucky) would want to form "these United States." Most of the midwest and southwest would be down, too. The cities would then either fall in line or the magic mystery food/water/power generators would be turned off.
As far as the trust goes, in the border areas, or near cities, yeah, it's gonna turn vicious. The leftists have shown time and again that they view the "natural order" being them issuing the rest of us edicts, and us toeing the line. When that stops happening, they're going to expend a lot of time, energy and blood to keep it happening. In areas that are predominantly red, it's going to be easier. Prominent lefties are going to have unpleasant sit-down chats with people who have the knowledge, temperament and equipment to cause them issues, and then the choice: leave or keep your mouth shut.
I can see the mexican cartels being a major force down south. The massive amount of illegals will be a wild card because of all the different loyalties they have to their home countries.
