For so much of my life I’ve heard the left show nothing but disgust for this country but now they are all about democracy

And shouting about how they need to defend democracy by voting for the party that either is:

going to run a brain-dead old guy who is obviously being controlled by behind-the-scenes unelected bureaucrats because he can't string a coherent sentence together

OR

going to boot said old guy off the ticket and appoint a replacement who nobody had any say in because the primary was cancelled.

Real democracy there.
