I still hold some disdain towards Korea for being that way and I entirely believe in the fact that Korean government was in control of feminist cult and all they were interested in pushing was artificial bullshit. This is why I think all I listened to was rap music before I actually got interested in metal music. I simply didn't have outside influences that could introduce me to some better music, I don't think I even knew Beatles or Rolling Stones when I was teen.. Don't get me wrong, there are some rock bands in Korea that do use guitars, but a lot of them seem to put more priority in lyrics and vocals than the intricacy of music, in other words, entirely unimpressive and not all that interesting.
I don't think I have heard of chord progression or guitar solos until I was in 20's when I actually started learning to play musical instruments due to influence of the friends. That's the whole mindset I believe in that korean culture is just unimpressive or inferior to me, Even to this day, I do not have much faith In Korea that they can replace Japan as cultural medium as sad as it is to say as someone grown up in that country. As a result, I can't help but look down on Koreaboos or people that unironically love Korean stuff and believe that Korea can overtake Japan as the cultural medium of East Asia. Korea seems to have improved a lot in last 10 years especially when it comes to gaming but everything else? I still don't find a lot of what they have to offer impressive.
