This point is not made enough. It's essentially strip mining a workforce. Yet somehow, the left doesn't get mad about resource exploitation when it also hurts the West. Weird.
If all the "brilliant" people stay in their homeland, they can improve their homeland to the point where their countryman don't need to seek "refuge" elsewhere. Right? Importing a bunch of H1Bs from India is depriving India of GDP, business development, a stronger local economy, etc.
But they won't. Because one side wants the upsides of cheap labor and the competitive advantage while the other side wants that imbalance between nations because it drives inflows to destroy the West.
