Reminds me of the late seasons of Game of Thrones and how many people were commenting that all the characters were suddenly capable of teleporting across different continents and the more you notice that the more you realise how poorly pieced together all the scenes were. At least in a couple of the seasons before that they made it plausible by showing the characters travelling.
Nevermind the lore, basic storytelling just gets thrown out the window with these lot. It makes me respect anime all the more especially when they have some continuity going and let the story get somewhere instead of constantly shoving the virgin trope down everyone's throats for the sake of an overused comedy gag. My standards are so fucking low as long as there's a decent story going on I'm perfectly happy even with Isekai trash.
With regards to sci-fi, I've seen Blender short films done by one or two people that look better than any of the crap disney is putting out, fuck them.
One of the major plotlines in season 2 of Game of Thrones was about a political marriage to obtain right of passage across a bridge so the Starks could march an army across. In season 8 everybody had unlocked fast travel and nothing mattered.
They did the family guy joke where Peter wrote "Jesus was here - 51 BC" in an attempt to create historical\cultural value in the manor and justified it by saying it was Jesus he can do anything.
Now Disney is going its Ki-Adi Mundi... he can do anything.
Ki-Adi Mundi just appeared in episode 4.
Ki-Adi Mundi WASN'T EVEN BORN YET in the timeframe The Acolyte claims to be.

Didn't they try to say there were going to be no cameo characters from other series?
Plo Koon also appeared, though I've heard he is reasonably old enough for that to be possible.
