I think that's actually called mutual respect.

You'll find that cultures that care about others, even if they're not your family, you won't go out of your way to be a jerk to them.

You might not like them, but you realize they gotta live there, and you gotta live here, and there's an amount of respect that is given so that both parties can live amongst each other in peace. That's called being neighborly.

My neighbors on one side are retired, and the other side they work nights. So when I found that out, I tapped on their doors one day and asked when a good time to do the lawn was. Turns out that time was when I was doing it anyway. Between noon and 3pm. Because I wouldn't want to be woken up, or disturbed out of a nap by some jerk with a lawnmower.

And don't get me wrong, starting shit for no good reason, and being an asshole about it, or escalating a situation that didn't need to get pushed so far isn't intrinsic to skin color. There are 'karen's out there who earn their nickname for a reason, and a ton of them are white.
