There seems to be more information popping up about Stormgate now including the devs adding a third faction and it seems to be getting more polished.

May end up poking at this game because at least there's 1v1 so that means you can have solo matches and it will probably be a game that's harder to bot. Hopefully because it's ex-devs being involved that are good at RTS games we won't see potential multiplayer shenanigans but going to wait and see with this one.
If the devs don't fuck it up they could easily poach the Starcraft playerbase I think.
Eh, I'm unimpressed so far. Game looks pretty "eh" and their business model sounds like shit to someone like me. (an F2P RTS with an episodic campaign? really?)
Nothing in the game I've seen so far feels iconic enough to me compared to the old RTSes. I was hoping units like the gigantic mechs with gatling guns would be like that but... no, not really.
The aesthetic is way too cartoony and Overwatch-like (or "mobile-game aesthetic") as well. There are numerous problems with it. It feels like just another imitation (and without the budget or actual world of Starcraft behind it).
They do obviously intend to poach the SC playerbase, but I think the hype has been falling off for their game as they reveal more and more of it. Almost every video I've seen about it from SC people has numerous negative comments with a lot of likes heavily criticizing the game.
One of the top comments from that video you posted:
To the devs credit they at least seem to try to fix their issues that people bring up, but I think some are just fundamental and inherent with the game they've created, and they aren't small ones.
