In this case they want to focus on KOTOR 2 game but centered on Kreia so I assume they would want to make one about Kreia in her youth as an archivist where she was exposed to sith teachings and at one point started to hate the force and wanting it destroyed entirely. She was also the one that set Revan on the path to the dark side.
That in itself is a nice story but I just don't want it in a movie, the games already covered it very nice, there is little else that would be interesting to that story. Trying to focus on details on how she did x or y can only end badly, you can and should allow room for imagination.
While KOTOR 2 is flawed, it had Chris Avellone as a writer and we have some incredibly good quotes from Kreia that are far beyond Lesly Headland possibilities to replicate.
"A culture's teachings, and most importantly, the nature of its people, achieve definition in conflict. They find themselves… or find themselves lacking."
“It is because I hate the force. I hate that it seems to have a will, that it would control us to achieve some level of balance, when countless lives are lost”
"It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it."
"I have thought about this moment more than you know, and I had wondered if, at this ending between us, you would care enough to try to save me. If a Jedi could find it within themselves to spare one who has fallen so far. I wanted you to say those words, for that I am grateful. But I don't want your mercy, I want you to break."
"Take the greatest Jedi Knight, strip away the Force, and what remains? They rely on it, depend on it, more than they know. Watch as one tries to hold a blaster, as they try to hold a lightsaber, and you will see nothing more than a woman - or a man. A child."
"Apathy is death."
The third quote still hunts my mind to this day and it has been a decade since I've played this games last time.
I've already forgotten most of the dialogue, but Kreia vs. the Masters (may be a Light-side only thing?) was one of the most powerful moments that stuck with me from that game.
Who told her about KOTOR?!?
I also thought they didn’t want to use the expanded universe
