I mean, they seem desperate enough to try but it'll go nowhere as even a lot of the far left hate lockdowns, and more than a majority are deeply suspicious of vaccinations now.

Only one's I can see 'going along with it' is Japan, and by that I mean, their population agreeing it's an issue and using it as an excuse to close borders and telling all foreigners to fuck off from coming there.
