If a post-Trump Republican runs on dissolving city governments (and state governments if necessary), locking up the politicians who encourage these kinds of crimes, arresting complicit judges and DAs, and federalizing law enforcement to enact vicious Bukele-style crackdowns in these cities, the country might have a chance. This also depends on Trump trying to fight the US government first instead of trying to bring in decency moderates who just want to put all that nasty business behind us.
