They're basically animals that aren't getting any immediate negative stimulus as consequences for their behavior, so the behavior continues.

Part of the problem is that the right keeps mumbling to itself about "oh we don't do gradients, we only have violence as a binary. We'll be really big and tough when the time comes. We have all the guns", etc, etc. It's a cope, an excuse to refuse to exercise any amount of force in retaliation to the continued attacks.

In a just world the left would not have survived because they'd have been butchered for their antics long before now. However we live in a profoundly unjust world and the right continues to be retarded and cling to their suicidal moral principles rather than bend them long enough to ensure survival.
