That's not even a gay thing, that's a Leftist thing. The Left have effectively fetishized and institutionalized mass mental health medicalization. This is because they have institutionalized Cluster B personality disorders as a moral imperative.

Part of the problem here is that a block of those gay people probably aren't even gay. They are straight people who are have been emotionally, psychologically, and sexually abused.
