It's not reasonable to have compulsory service that doesn't grant you anything except what everyone already gets for free. That's called being a slave.

This is what I say to people who insist you lack some patriotism if you refuse to send your children to die for Israel. I am trying to be free over here, which is not inhibited, primarily, by people over there. Especially not the poor ones. When the Chinese are over here you can start calling people cowardly for refusing to go to the front (maybe... if they are just invading California IDK).

This mercenary shit: well these institutions are important. I hate to see their decline in any case. I don't think that it's good to fight bad wars on account of being unwilling to undertake the good ones. This principle of ammo that you don't send at people going to waste is ridiculous to me. Your fight should be for the right things.
