The facts are simple: no other mc in assassins creed are historically known figures. In doing this they completely destroyed the entire point of the Animus. It’s at best intentionally malicious and a massive middle finger to Japanese men. The only saving grace is yasuke gay sex is going to make hilarious meme material for the we wuzzers.
I wasted my time debating people in YouTube comment sections. I asked one guy is he actually believed they made this choice organically and he said off course they did. I weep for fandom
I’ve long said the obsession with diversity is strongest for black/female/lgbt. I had heard of Yasuke years ago but lately leftists have latched onto him. If they were so eager they could’ve just had him as a character in the game. I really hope this game tanks. The guy I was debating with also thought I was seeing ghosts and that there isn’t a diversity obsession.
Have a game like Nioh but featuring Yasuke as the PC, for that matter. It's the context of this being the first AC set in Japan that makes it an issue. A standalone Yasuke game would just be an idiosyncratic Western take on a Japanese setting whereas this is a deliberate injection of Western racial politics into Japanese pop-culture.

Nobody thinks this was organic, they're just worked up into a collective psychosis that makes them say the sky is purple if a "chud" says it's blue.
