Right, consider a sample of things that occurred in American history since the civil war:

• income tax amendment
• federal reserve
• courts deciding federal agencies have psuedo-legislative power over states, companies, and individuals
• muh commerce clause
• civil rights act (sweeping federal authority over individuals)
• states losing representation in the senate with senators being elected
• the federal government forcing school integration at gunpoint
• prayer banned in schools
• title 19
• disparate impact as government policy
• second amendment banned in random locations and circumstances and judges saying there's no 2A here
• roe vs wade
• all states must recognize marriages between homosexuals
• corporations are people too
• title 19 and the civil rights act applies to trannies

We had guns and nothing happened. Except for the abortion one nothing was overturned politically either.

Our only hope is that the Left insists on pushing us all off the progressive cliff so fast that people will notice and care enough to actually push back this time. It's less a function of guns than it is the power of the Internet increasing political radicalization.
