Just looked up his election info. The republican primary is against a failed gubernatorial candidate (just under 6% in the '23 primary, earning 4th place) and a young MAGA guy whose top qualification apparently is being an eagle scout. There is also no Democrat running for that office.
I think his position is safe for the time being.
