It's an attempt at not losing their jobs for being insane. They're intimately familiar with trying to get people fired for tweets, and they think that little boilerplate disclaimer means if people go "company X supports kitten murder, look at what their CM tweeted!", they'll just go "those are my own personal opinions and nothing to do with company X" and everybody claps.
They think it's the weird magic talisman in their twitter bio that stops them being fired rather than the reality that it's the hypocrisy embedded in diseased HR departments that lets them keep their jobs after tweeting wild shit like "men are a scourge and we hope they don't buy our game"
