Has anyone played the game yet? It looks interesting and is 25% off on GOG right now ($29.99).

I've been playing it, though I'm a relative newb (at the genre in general) so am learning as I go. It's definitely still in early release but what I do see is gorgeous. Everyone walking around is actually doing jobs and moving cargo around not just decoration. The camera let's you zoom all the way into the forest to watch your people forage or hunt.
I haven't even got to command my army yet and am excited to try it out.
And the fact it's a passion project by one guy just amazes me.
Is it a strategy game like civilization or a blend of genres?
Closest example that comes to mind are the original Stronghold games.
Only in Manor Lords, combat focused gameplay looks like it'll be a little more optional, with diplomatic tools to avert and dissuade military attacks. And there's a lot more depth to the economy and civilian side of things in Manor Lords than Stronghold had.
Sounds cool! Thanks!
