All of 'kosher' is just to prevent Jews from interacting too much with Christians and Muslims and assimilating into the dominant culture. That is where the separation originated: with the Babylonian exile, which in retrospect wasn't serious but it allowed them to build antibodies when living in alien lands was serious.

OK, so no actual instance, only a 'plan'. And way after kosher rules were developed, so the guy's explanation for kosher makes no sense.
