Because it allows you to speak around an issue instead of directly at it.
When you say antisemitism people are already trained to know "that's bad, this person evil" and you don't have to say anything further. If you had to explain it, then you run the risk of it looking as stupid as it is and not being as effective.
Its basic marketing and manipulation techniques.
