I disagree. You can always pirate and mod to avoid rewarding them. There's ton's of games new and old that would be almost perfect if not for one or two little niggles, be it a weird control scheme, some imbalanced enemy AI, blaqqed race-swap, or out of place rainbow flag that would look much better as a swastika. Hades is an example where where the game plays very well and is just all around wholesome fun once you get rid of the diversity art.

Agreed on FOMO I mostly play old obscure titles.
