What bothered me is that their transformations are superpowers, was that ever a thing?
not in any of the previous multiverses, the race can't be called transformers if vast majority of them can't transform
For a basic car dude? Not to my knowledge. Not everyone's a triple changer like Blitzwing, a big dude like Optimus Prime or has special powers like Skywarp, but being able to turn into a car is just something Transformers can do if they don't have some more exotic alt mode.
