I'm convinced something like 99% of the games industry is just a money laundering or tax embezzlement at this point because of their reliance on ESG and DEI money and they needed legitimate players to cover it up and make their finances seem plausible. Which of course is the real reason that all these usual NPCs are mad at gamers because we won't accept the slop the way other industries have because we have taste and won't be pushed around by a bunch of normies.
Purely guess work at the moment, but given what we know about tech and how barely any of the employees there are qualified to mop the floors let alone write code at these companies it's likely another industry they've invaded for the sake of rewarding loyalists for their efforts to the regime.
Much like how you see literal paedophiles getting caught in the teaching sector and then being mysteriously moved to other places instead of being barred from the profession entirely as they should be you have these absolute low IQ morons being in positions and obviously having no idea what they're doing.
Money sources? The obvious one are the DEI and ESG grants, venture capital through funds like Blackrock or similar companies for the games industry. It seems they rely for their income most on these third party style sources then you have the third party contractor narrative writing types with the recent findings who take a slice of the money for themselves because they know the people receiving this and they want to spread it around to their friends in the press.
It stands to reason given that there's also intelligence agencies involved in all of this with their bullshit surveillance of gamers being trotted out to try and find fake incel and far right extremists there's going to be politicians involved which is probably going to be an even deeper rabbit hole we're going to go down soon enough.
This will probably end up kicking off GamerGate 3.0 because somebody has to be approving all of these ops against gamers as well as the government funds going towards games companies who pander.
The definition of money laundering. Or perhaps vaporware.

If it's all money laundering then where is the money coming from and where is it being funneled to and to what end?
