There was no independent plan to kidnap governor Whitmer. It was all created by the FBI. There were a few randos who got caught up in the plot just following along. One of them was strung along by a female agent basically acting as a prostitute. One of the FBI informants was a convicted pedophile. FBI agents outnumbered defendants 4 to 1.

The crazy thing is that as bad as what you just described is, it's actually far, far worse.

Hell, one guy was charged with material support because he ... taught people to tie a tourniquet at an event (organized by the FBI) completely unrelated to the "kidnapping."
