I respect Rowling for the same reason I respect that Roger Moorehouse fellow, whose opinions on Israel I don't like. She could have lived a comfortable life, but instead she had the spine and courage to swim against the mainstream, creating considerable difficulty for herself.

And if there is something that is lacking in the modern age, it's people with courage.
