I do think the majority of centrist are probably more right wing, but they are afraid the tv will call them an ist or a phobe. I can empathize and resent their norminess in equal measure. Life is hard to get through and everyone was indoctrinated with the boomer ideal of going along to get along. So I don't blame people for checking out of politics, but I do resent them voting irresponsibly and whimsically. I know it's been mocked but maybe the Starship Trooper Citizen/Civilian system is the best option.

I don't think America has moved that far from the silent majority that Nixon spoke of. But a loud minority dug in and subverted the pillars of our country. And we ain't going to dislodge them using normies
