When did reddit shift from free thought to obedience and boot licking corporations for “vaccines”?

Personally, I think it was when they let SRS and their Fempire basically dictate the entire site, having to invent (and not enforce) flimsy rules about brigading and other nonsense to try and curb their influence in scaring away people and causing trouble. Eventually metastasizing into "if you agree with the admins politics you can do whatever, anyone else will be punished."
Its really something how little SRS gets brought up when talking about our current state of things, considering its the single handed cancer that would convert reddit into the Leftist propaganda machine it is today.
I think it was a victim of its own success. It died once they had taken over the site and the focus moved to purging the few subs that they hadn't managed to infest. They all moved to AHS and everyone forgot about SRS. IIRC they pioneered AHS's tactic of spamming CP on subs they don't like to get them banned.
I think it only died because it had become too big to deny its power and influence, so reddit couldn't deny the rules coming on them any longer.
But like any good elite, rather than just getting thrown in jail, they were given plenty warning and ability to walk away into dozens of smaller "unaffiliated" subs to continue doing the same thing, like AHS and BPT.
SRS?
Shit Reddit Says. Was meant to be a basic "look at this idiot saying something out loud" point and laugh place, but quickly grew into a literally roaming mob of cancel hungry psychos who'd mass brigade, report, and bully anyone who said something out of lockstop with their politics. And they were huge.
And since it was big around the advent of Intersectionality, it wasn't just about its main cause (feminism) but also anyone not part of their proto-Woke politics about race and gays too.
