For example, a game gets an update that censors a sexy female character. People complain to the devs and then a short time later, they roll back the update and restore the character to how she was before. Have there been any examples of devs actually listening to people's complaints and undoing woke shit?

The following is not undoing woke shit and not censorship of existing characters, however I feel it bears mentioning.
Manjuu (AzurLane devs) got their asses slapped this past week for revealing the final shipgirl (HMS Anson) from a class of battleships (KGV-class) that had already been implemented in the game for several years. A loli that didn't appear related to her sisters at all or fit in with the theme of the class. Seems that the devs were actually serious about this decision and it wasn't a mistake or a pre-April Fool's joke. The reveal got enough pushback that she was removed from the event update prior to it going live today.
These are Chinese/Shanghai devs, but this is evidence that the fanbase screaming across multiple regions does actually work for gacha games at least. Because money is king to those types of games.
I don’t think I’ll be celebrating this one.
What about this ship screams "loli" to you? this ship has to be a tall girl with vast tracts of land.
