People will use what is popular even if they bitch about it, especially streamers and content creators. I see it constantly even with people that I don't have a problem with or even like and it's a case of "What do you fucking expect? You're all helping drive traffic to their site so they know they don't ever have to change". People can make excuses at the end of the day all the like but they're the ones feeding into these systems and helping companies like that survive.
Think about any recent tech you see the average normie use, they always follow the herd and refuse to try new things. This is why sometimes I think a lot of software tends to blatantly copy off each other. It's something I explain to the autists who don't really understand the normie mindset, you kind of have to trick them into thinking it's the same product in order to get them to try it because complexity and the unfamiliar scares these weirdos.
If you wanted mass adoption of Linux for example, you're going to have to create some kind of normie distro that's ultra user friendly even your grandmother can figure out with a tutorial because that's the level of retard we're dealing with. Granted I come across condescending as fuck with this post but anyone who has had to deal with that sort of crap in tech knows exactly what I'm on about especially if it comes to customer support. Even when you're not directly dealing with people you still get the odd question every now and then or overhear something that makes you wonder how they're functioning adults.
It's the same thing with any bit of software, there's a different between catering to autists who are fine with complexity versus normies who are terrified of it and phones have only made it worse.

Most of the time there is no proper tutorial and everything is a mess.
