If I was to be a snide motherfucker, I bet it was only implemented now because Vtubers were copying the ethots in a mocking way doing a 'well they can do it so why can't we?'. Twitch has a VERY heavy handed approach to fictional adult oriented content compared to just being a whore.
I won't be surprised if they only give out day bans to the main thots so they can try their next slut scheme later.
While watching Twitch dangle on meathooks is atleast slightly amusing, I still marvel over how people can use that fucking site to begin with.
Every time I wander over there for some reason, the overall UI drives me up the wall. Completely counter-intuitive, busy as all fuck, nevermind the ads(adblocker seems to only work sometimes for Twitch).
If it blows up and people migrate over to Youtube, I won't cry much. Youtube has it's issues, but nothing compared to Twitch.
At this point, it's probably because Amazon is supporting them that they are still relevant along with 'drops' and habits from when they were the main game in town with streaming.
They didn't develop past that though and have been overtaken functionally by a lot of sites. If Amazon shows signs of wavering support they're fucked.
