Yeah, it’s one of the strangest parts of Jewish culture. They think that god would be fooled into believing that you are “indoors” if there’s a wire above your head. Or that you don’t own the food in your pantry if someone else places a lock on it.
I was in South Beach on vacation one time and in the water I see a woman wearing the skimpiest bikini barely covering anything but she’s also wearing a scarf over her hair. By her logic she was dressed modestly because her head was covered.
I truly don’t understand how they think that these technicalities or gotchas are tricking God into believing that they’re following his laws.
