I pirated it on release and got to the penn and teller boss before I was too demotivated to bother learning the patterns

a few months later when it was free on Epic I figure out the trick of turning off voice and skipping cutscenes and also played on ez mode with the guy who has the pet that revives him - that was enough to get me to chip away at it until I beat it
