It's a logical extension of the justification they used to put Trump back on the ballot in Colorado. Roberts wanted a 9-0 ruling, so he had to use the only justification that the commie caucus on the Court would back: One state can't unilaterally disqualify a federal candidate. That's fine in a vacuum, but it pretty much guaranteed this result by omission. They should have shut this shit down by saying you can't use dirty tricks to get your political opponents kicked off the ballot.
