That honestly doesn't surprise me. After the east west thing died down, it seems the actual fighting just went on behind closed doors behind the scenes. Everyone was still really uncomfortable being around each other for years.

Now we know why. They were just using and manipulating each other. It's no wonder no one steps out of line. Everyone has dirt on everyone. One screw up and it's over forever for a dozen of them. They'll domino each other.
