I joined a team of Indian programmers on a Swift project. I'd never written anything in Swift before, not even for hobby projects (fuck Apple always and forever).
A couple weeks in, I taught the lead dev how to do template/generic classes because I was sick of seeing every viewmodel being a 200-line copy/paste with 3 strings updated and all of the return types changed.
My employer hired this Indian consulting firm for a little project I didn't have time to work on, which I ended up having to do because they were so lost (of course they still billed for it as though they had done it). I told my boss I would never work with that company again.
Years later I was reviewing resumes and saw that project listed on one of them as an "accomplishment". Into the trash that thing went.
