I wanna be a game dev and learn how to code. but no one here does. because their not coders or don't like me or are racist, and their aren't many people here. i mean look at this place https://www.reddit.com/r/love2d/: now how can i learn how to code using that software here? barely anyone here as is. and who would even take the time to teach me? overall. this place needs to get more users here. ones who preferably not asshole. so this place can blow up in popularity.

I joined a team of Indian programmers on a Swift project. I'd never written anything in Swift before, not even for hobby projects (fuck Apple always and forever).
A couple weeks in, I taught the lead dev how to do template/generic classes because I was sick of seeing every viewmodel being a 200-line copy/paste with 3 strings updated and all of the return types changed.
My employer hired this Indian consulting firm for a little project I didn't have time to work on, which I ended up having to do because they were so lost (of course they still billed for it as though they had done it). I told my boss I would never work with that company again.
Years later I was reviewing resumes and saw that project listed on one of them as an "accomplishment". Into the trash that thing went.
